Editable 4I+4V + virtual terminals
Configured RMS magnitude/angle sources drive instantaneous waveforms through explicit virtual analog wiring to relay terminals.
Current beta.6 capability map
ARVREL separates signal source, virtual wiring, relay acquisition, protection logic, external TESTSET timing, process-bus trust, transformer engineering, and virtual control authority so each result can be explained.
Closed-loop feeder laboratory
Configured RMS magnitude/angle sources drive instantaneous waveforms through explicit virtual analog wiring to relay terminals.
Signed terminal samples pass clipping, 16-bit-equivalent quantization, 1.5 ms behavioral delay, and a one-cycle rolling DFT on a 4 kHz grid.
Independent binary inputs sample at 100 µs with separate 0.5 ms deglitch and zero debounce holdoff in the default profile.
Accepted TESTSET BI1 owns measured trip and optional auto-stop. Internal relay trip state is never a direct TESTSET shortcut.
TESTSET BI2 represents wired ANY PICKUP and is explicitly distinct from the pickup of the element that ultimately operates.
RESET settles stale causal acquisition, clears relay state once, releases contacts/BI inputs, preserves frozen evidence, and reports READY TO RE-ARM only after the postcondition.
Process bus
Select an authorized Windows adapter and inspect laboratory Sampled Values traffic.
Replay captured frames for repeatable analysis, teaching, regression, and FAT/SAT preparation.
Review APPID, destination MAC, VLAN, svID, dataset, confRev, channel mapping, scaling provenance, quality, and continuity.
Feeder protection
| ANSI | Function | Current scope |
|---|---|---|
| 50P-1 | Phase overcurrent | Pickup/dropout, definite delay, operation evidence |
| 51P | Time phase overcurrent | IEC inverse and definite-time behavior, TMS/reset modes |
| 50N / 51N | Earth-fault overcurrent | Explicit IN/3I0 preferred; documented calculated fallback |
| 67P | Directional phase overcurrent | Positive-sequence polarization and directional evidence |
| 67N | Directional earth fault | Residual polarization and directional evidence |
| 27 / 59 | Under / overvoltage | Voltage measurement logic with trust-gated provenance |
| 59N | Residual overvoltage | 3V0 magnitude and definite timing |
Transformer Differential
Generic dual-slope restrained differential, high-set differential, REF HV, and REF LV with independent neutral/NGR evidence.
H2/H5 security, context-gated external-fault/CT-saturation logic, CT ratio/polarity, transformer rating, and supported vector-group compensation.
Run the deterministic 10-scenario packaged-core self-test and synchronized internal HV/LV/neutral injection, or move to paired external SV live/replay.
AVR / OLTC and MMS
Virtual transformer and 17-position OLTC provide repeatable voltage-regulation and tap feedback behavior.
Modeled LOCAL/REMOTE and AUTO/MANUAL states constrain virtual tap/control action.
Browse/read, DataSets, reports, GI/integrity, modeled SBO/SBOw controls, and virtual AVR settings terminate inside the simulated process.
Evidence and trust
Setting groups, revisions, presets, engineering context, and SHA-256 fingerprints.
AllowsMeasurement, AllowsPickup, and AllowsTrip keep diagnostic visibility separate from new protection authority.
Run/topology identity, timing resolution, first-any-pickup source, operated-element correlation, TESTSET BI events, trip request, output stop, and frozen capture relationship.
Capability boundary
ARVREL remains virtual-output laboratory software. It does not claim calibrated secondary injection, a CMC or manufacturer-relay clone, IEC 61850 conformance, IEC 60255 type testing, commissioning acceptance, or protection-grade hard-real-time performance.
