Is the tone better at a similar level?
- Enable Gain Match and repeat the same passage.
- Avoid changing the monitor volume between states.
- Write down the difference before looking at the control positions.
Change one thing at a time
- Start from Signature Balanced.
- Move one control or one preset per pass.
- Keep the playback section, routing and output device unchanged.
Make the result reproducible
- Record version, preset, sample rate and source file.
- State whether Gain Match was on or off.
- Share short legal audio excerpts only when you have the rights to do so.
