A useful measurement page must explain the source, route, level, sample rate, capture method and uncertainty. This page defines that protocol without fabricating results that have not been reproduced.
Separate tone from loudness
- Use normal mode to judge intended impact.
- Use Gain Match for level-equal tonal comparison.
- Report both states instead of treating one as the only valid answer.
Check safety and stability
- Measure true peak and sample peak at the output.
- Repeat at supported sample rates and practical buffer sizes.
- Look for clipping, denormals, dropouts or unstable gain movement.
State what the test cannot prove
- A frequency plot does not fully describe perceived depth or transient behaviour.
- One song or one interface cannot establish universal performance.
- A result should include the preset, control values and software version.
