# DeSonKuPik User Guide

DeSonKuPik is designed around a simple workflow:

```text
Open audio -> preview mastering -> adjust only if needed -> export
```

## 1. Open an audio file

Start by opening a WAV, MP3, or other supported audio file.

For best results, use a file that is not already badly distorted or clipped.

## 2. Listen before changing too much

The default mastering chain is intended as a safe starting point. Play the audio and compare the original sound with the processed sound.

## 3. What the processing does

DeSonKuPik focuses on final polish:

- **EQ** helps shape tonal balance.
- **Compressor** helps control dynamics.
- **Color** adds a more finished feel.
- **Stereo width** helps the sound feel wider when appropriate.
- **Limiter** helps keep final output level controlled.

## 4. When the result sounds too strong

If the mastered sound feels too loud, too bright, or too wide, reduce the intensity or choose a gentler setting if available.

A good master should feel better, not harsh.

## 5. Export

Use WAV when you want the best quality for editing, archiving, or further production.

Use MP3 when you need a smaller file for sharing or quick upload.

## 6. Tips for better results

- Start with a clean recording.
- Avoid recording too loud until it clips.
- Compare with a song, video, or podcast you like.
- Do not chase loudness only; clarity and comfort matter.
- If your audio is already distorted, mastering cannot fully repair it.
