General Interrogation asks the outstation for a snapshot. A healthy GI should not stop at activation confirmation only; it should deliver data and finish.

ActivationMaster sends interrogation command.

ACTCONOutstation confirms the request was accepted.

Interrogated dataValues and indications are returned as the snapshot.

ACTTERMActivation termination indicates the interrogation cycle is finished.

What to check in ARIEC60870

Use the software to connect the explanation to the frame evidence.

1If ACTCON appears but ACTTERM never arrives, the snapshot may be incomplete.

2If no data follows GI, check CA, IOA mapping, class configuration, and device database.
